Tēnā koutou friends,
I'm Lani, a passionate marketer and future-of-work catalyst dedicated to advancing human potential and promoting positive contributions to our world. I believe in the power of marketing and collaboration to shape a better future for all.
My journey has taken me through roles in creative agencies, tech startups, not for profits, and now to an ethical marketing consultancy. I've worked with businesses of all kinds. I'm known for fostering environments of excellence and innovative thinking, creating distinctive customer experiences, and building trust through lasting partnerships.
In recent years, I've served as Marketing Manager at the Marketing Association, co-founded TheMarketing Club community in NZ, explored the future of work with inspiring companies and individuals, and collaborated with some amazing humans to solve brand, positioning, and marketing challenges for businesses making a positive impact in their communities. Currently, I focus my time as a freelance Marketing Communications Consultant, primarily through GoodSense-where we specialise in ethical marketing-while also working directly with other clients and partners. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the marketing landscape and strengthened my ability to drive meaningful connections between businesses and their audiences.
I thrive on challenges and adaptability. I'm at my best in collaborative environments, leveraging data, creativity, and technology to solve problems and build future-ready strategies.
Personally, I see life and work as complementary aspects of who I am. I strive to reshape the way we work together, fostering strong teams and thriving communities. My continuous learning and experimentation are focused on creating positive impacts for people and helping businesses connect more deeply with their customers. Alongside my colleagues, clients, and networks, I'm constantly challenging what I think I know, seeking new possibilities, and sharing what I learn. By experimenting with new ways of working, organisations can experience and evaluate them first-hand. These gradual, adaptive micro-changes ultimately improve their people's experience, help them connect better with customers, and support achieving their purpose.
Mucho Aroha,
Lani
